Tanya Petryshen brings over 30 years of business leadership and a lifelong love of animals to her role as Founder and Director of Happy Houndz Daycare & Boarding. Before following her passion for dogs, Tanya spent decades leading Distributors’ Choice Inc., where she built a reputation for her integrity, hands-on leadership, and ability to create strong, lasting relationships with clients, vendors, and staff alike.
After selling her company, Tanya set out to create a place where dogs could play, learn, and feel at home — and where pet parents could have total peace of mind. Drawing on her business experience and commitment to excellence, she ensures Happy Houndz runs with the same care, organization, and heart that defined her career.
Lisa decided it was time for a new adventure — trading in finger paints and story time for leashes and tennis balls! After 28 wonderful years helping parents and their little humans prepare for school, she now dedicates her days to keeping tails wagging and paws happy.
At home, Lisa is surrounded by her own pack — three lovable Labradors and one sassy ginger cat — which means there’s always a little fur floating in her coffee cup. She’s always eager to learn something new on animal behaviour, canine and feline nutrition, and the best ways to keep her own furry family, and your’s, feeling their best.
Lisa has completed courses in Canine Behaviour, Canine Nutrition, the K9 Transformation Masterclass, Infectious Disease Management, and Pet First Aid & CPR.
Together, we’re on a mission to create a true haven for dogs — a place where they can romp, relax, and thrive both physically and emotionally. Every wagging tail and happy bark is proof that we’re doing what we love most: caring for our four-legged friends like they’re part of the family.
