First Time Boarding
At Happy Houndz, every first-time boarder kicks things off with an assessment day. You drop off your pup and we get to work. We start with some one-on-one time to evaluate their confidence and determine do they strut like they own the place or do they need a pep talk.
Are they a social butterfly of the group or more of a “respect my personal space” kind of pup? Are they cool with sharing or more of a resource guarder? Do they settle disagreements with a polite woof or are they ready to throw paws up? Are they more of a gentle observer or do they see every squirrel, leaf, and shadow as an opportunity for a high-speed chase?
Our high graduate ratio can be seen on our famous Wall of Fame in the lobby.
Next up: two daycare days to help your pup settle in, make new friends, and realize that, yes, this place is basically a five-star resort for dogs. These doggy daycare visits also reassure them that their humans will come back for pick-up.
Summary: Assessment day, two days of daycare & your pup is now ready to board.
Return Boarders
To ensure your dog’s comfort and well-being, any dogs that haven’t attended daycare in the past 3 months will need to complete one daycare evaluation day before being accepted for boarding. This allows your dog to reacclimatize to our environment and ensures a smooth, stress-free transition during their visit.
A boarding period is defined as a 24-hour duration.
