Dog Boarding

Why Our Dog Boarding is the Best (According to the Dogs 🐶)
Let’s be real—if dogs could book their own vacations, they’d pick us every time because we offer playful days & comfy nights. Your pup gets to hang with their squad, play all day, and crash in a cozy, familiar space when they’re finally dog-tired.
From zoomies and wrestling to bubble-chasing and tail-wagging gossip sessions, there’s never a dull moment. Think of it as an all-inclusive resort where the daily activities are designed just for dogs (minus the tiny drink umbrellas).
We offer comfy, familiar surroundings with climate-controlled rooms, and plenty of belly rubs before bedtime. Basically, it’s a spa retreat with extra snoring.
We are professional cuddle providers, treat dispensers, and expert belly scratchers. Your pup won’t just be cared for—they’ll be adored.
At the end of their stay, they’ll go home happy, tired, and probably a little offended that you didn’t leave them here longer. So book their stay now—because your dog deserves a vacation too!

First Time Boarding

At Happy Houndz, every first-time boarder kicks things off with an assessment day. You drop off your pup and we get to work. We start with some one-on-one time to evaluate their confidence and determine do they strut like they own the place or do they need a pep talk.
Are they a social butterfly of the group or more of a “respect my personal space” kind of pup? Are they cool with sharing or more of a resource guarder? Do they settle disagreements with a polite woof or are they ready to throw paws up? Are they more of a gentle observer or do they see every squirrel, leaf, and shadow as an opportunity for a high-speed chase?
Our high graduate ratio can be seen on our famous Wall of Fame in the lobby.
Next up: two daycare days to help your pup settle in, make new friends, and realize that, yes, this place is basically a five-star resort for dogs. These doggy daycare visits also reassure them that their humans will come back for pick-up.
Summary: Assessment day, two days of daycare & your pup is now ready to board.

Return Boarders

To ensure your dog’s comfort and well-being, any dogs that haven’t attended daycare in the past 3 months will need to complete one daycare evaluation day before being accepted for boarding. This allows your dog to reacclimatize to our environment and ensures a smooth, stress-free transition during their visit.
A boarding period is defined as a 24-hour duration.

VACCINATIONS: For the safety and well-being of all pets, we kindly ask that your pet's vaccinations are up to date. We also request that owners provide written proof of the required vaccinations prior to their pet’s stay. Thank you for helping us keep everyone healthy!

Happy Houndz will accept a Titer in place of a vaccination record.

What is Titer Testing?

A titer test is a laboratory test that measures the existence and level of antibodies to disease in blood. Antibodies are produced when an antigen, like a virus or bacteria, provokes a response from the immune system. This response can come from natural exposure or from vaccination.

Why Titer Test?

The parvovirus/distemper test can help you and your pet’s doctor determine if your dog requires additional vaccination, preventing over-vaccination.
It is especially useful when deciding about vaccinating an animal with unknown vaccination history, or for determining if your furry friend has received immunity from vaccination.
Most experts believe strong titers are a more reliable indication of immunity than vaccination because titer tests show the actual immune response, not just the attempt to cause an immune response by vaccination.

What to Bring

Food - Please pack enough food and treats for the duration of your dog's stay, plus a little extra. Keep in mind that the average dog typically takes 8,000 steps a day at home, but at daycare, they can average 30,000 steps, so they may eat more. You can bring a single bag or container of food, or pre-portion each meal into separate bags. Occasionally, dogs may show disinterest in their food, so it’s a good idea to bring any special canned or raw food, or food toppers your dog particularly enjoys, to mix into their meals and encourage eating if needed.
Medication – Oral medications must be supplied in the original prescription container labelled with your dog’s name, dosage, and the reason for the medication. As well, all instructions should be as specific and detailed as possible. The same applies to topical creams and ointments.
Bedding – bring that oh so familiar bed and blanket they use at home so they have that nightly comfort and recognizable smell of home for a calming effect. In the unexpected event of soiled bedding, rest assured we will laundry as needed for a nominal fee to always keep your pup comfortable.
No need to bring bowls, we supply both food and water bowls. The bowls are hygienic stainless steel so that they can be easily and thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. And they range in size to ensure that the ideal bowls are selected for your dog.
